Our medical projects are designed to give you first-hand experience with healthcare systems in the developing world, as well as an opportunity to make an immediate impact through our mobile medical outreach. Whether you’re an experienced medical professional, or just beginning your studies or career in healthcare, we will help to tailor our program to fit your needs.
As a medical volunteer, you will be able to work in a large university hospital, a small clinic, or doing medical outreach for communities that have virtually no access to quality healthcare. This includes opportunities to work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to learn first-hand the challenges facing citizens in West African countries, and to provide health screenings, educational seminars, and treatments to under-served communities. We can provide specific areas of focus for midwifery, public health, infectious diseases, general & emergency surgery, psychiatry/psychology, and more. Most recently, our medical volunteers have worked in Cape Coast – Ewim Polyclinic / Teaching Hospital; Elmina – District Hospital / Healthcare center and the University of Cape Coast Hospital.
