Stephen Manford, Co-Founder and Managing Director
As the Managing Director for WAHEF, Stephen oversees all day-to-day activities, including overseeing and reviewing placements for all volunteers. Stephen brings 7 years of experience working with NGO’s in central Ghana, including the Alliance for Youth Development, with a focus on providing high-need communities with education volunteers and medical supplies. As the founder of WAHEF, Stephen has built relationships with community leaders, government officials, school administrators, and hospital staff, to create a platform for our volunteers to give back.
Prince “Babs” Charles Okyir, Co-Founder and Projects Coordinator
Prince, or “Babs”, oversees all placements for volunteers, including host family placements. Babs drives community engagement and spends time with volunteers to understand how to continuously improve our impact on the community, and to measure our results. As the Project Coordinator, Babs works closely with all volunteers before arrival to understand their goals and expertise, to ensure a proper placement.
Kingsley Theophilus Okyir, Business Operations
As Head of Business Operations, Kingsley supervises the overall running of the organization. This includes NGO registration and external audit supervision to ensure compliance with all non-profit reporting requirements. Kingsley is also crucial to building and maintaining relationships with our government and community partners, and ensuring overall quality for each and every placement we supervise.
Michael Dennis, Volunteer Supervisor
Dennis is responsible for volunteer induction and placement upon arrival in Ghana. Want to know where you can find pizza in Cape Coast (you can!) – Dennis is your man. More generally, this includes setup upon arrival, such as cell phone and internet hotspot connectivity, tours of Cape Coast and the surrounding areas, and more. Dennis, along with our entire project team, is available for assistance 24/7 to ensure transition into your placement is as smooth as possible.
Godwill Mensah-Woode, Volunteer Coordinator
As a volunteer coordinator, Godwill is task with the following duties which is allignes to the success of the organisation. He ensures the success of all volunteer placements, both for our international volunteers and our partner communities and/or organizations in Cape Coast. This includes setup upon arrival, such as cell phone and internet hotspot connectivity, tours of Cape Coast and the surrounding areas, and more. Godwill, along with our entire project team, is available for assistance 24/7 to ensure transition into your placement is as smooth as possible.
Augustine Bimpong, Administrator
Augustine is from the Ashanti Region of Ghana and is currently living in Cape Coast. He is a graduate from the Cape Coast Technical University with a Focus in Tourism and Hospitality. With his experience of working with the Department of Social welfare and Community Development in Cape Coast the past 5 years, Augustine is a huge Addition to our Team, and now serves as the Administrator for our Organisation. He is responsible in keeping track and data collection of all our ongoing community Projects, and providing quarterly reports for our year-end meetings.
Kirsten “Kiki” Holfeld, Office Operations
As office operations lead, Kiki manages the day-to-day business administration and office support. This includes supporting prospective volunteers through the application, preparation, and arrival process, as well as working with volunteers throughout their program duration. Kiki brings years of office experience working for large corporations in Germany, as well as for local Ghanaian companies in greater Accra.
Alexander Ingram, Co-Founder and Executive Director
As Executive Director of WAHEF, Alex drives the overall organizational strategy, with a core focus on fundraising, community engagement, and program development. Alex is a member of WAHEF’s Board of Directors, and is responsible for WAHEF’s sustainable growth, and working directly with community partners to measure our Impact.
